Below is the text of Mr Major’s written Parliamentary Answer on the Local Office, Deeside on 10th December 1985.

Mr. Raffan Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the future of the proposed Deeside, Flint integrated local office of his Department.

Mr. Major It has for several years been the Department’s intention to open a new integrated local office to serve the Deeside area.

A building in Flint has been leased by the Property Services Agency and I regret the delay in bringing this property into use. We are currently discussing with PSA the work necessary to adapt these premises and hope to conclude these discussions early in the new year. Subject to the availability of funds we hope to provide a new office to serve the Deeside area.
