Below is the text of Mr Major’s written Parliamentary Answer on Disabled People on 21st October 1986.
Mr. Wareing Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many representations about cases of alleged discrimination against disabled people he has received in each of the years 1980 to 1985 and in the first nine months of the current year; how many such allegations were proved; and what action he took in each case;
(2) if he will list those organisations of disabled people he has consulted during the current parliamentary Session; and what subjects were discussed in each case.
