Below is the text of Mr Major’s written Parliamentary Answer on the Mobility Allowance on 9th December 1986.

Mr. Kirkwood Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will extend the eligibility rules for mobility allowance to enable those over 75 years of age to qualify on the grounds that payment would enable them to continue living in their own home.
