Below is the text of Mr Major’s written Parliamentary Answer on Disposable Incomes on 11th May 1988.

Mr. Nicholas Bennett To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report his latest estimate of average per capita disposable incomes for each region of the United Kingdom, taking into account average mortgage repayments in each region.

Mr. Major I refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave him on 1 March, at column 503. No more recent information will be available until towards the end of the year.
