Mr. Blair To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what was the level of venture capital invested on a regional basis for each financial year from 1979 to 1988; (2) what was the level of venture capital invested in the counties of Cleveland, Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, East Sussex, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex for each financial year since 1979–80.
