Mr Major’s Comments at Climate Change Conference – 12 June 1992
Below is the text of Mr Major’s comments at a press conference during the Climate Change Conference, held in Brazil on 12th June 1992.
PRIME MINISTER:
The important thing is not to engage in squabbles on this occasion, I think it would be a very great shame if people went away from this conference concentrating on the areas on which there were not agreement. There is a huge amount of agreement here and I think it must be seen, in the interests of future action being taken, that it must be seen that this conference has made progress and is a success.
