QUESTION:

[Mr Major was asked for his reaction to the news from Bosnia].

PRIME MINISTER:

I had the opportunity of discussing the Russian influence over the Serbs the other day with President Yeltsin, I do welcome this involvement, they have very considerable influence over the Serbs, I very much hope they are going to use their influence, it seems that they are, it seems they may be willing to put some troops in there as well, I think that is good news.
