PRIME MINISTER:
Parliamentary Questions
Mr. Meacher: To ask the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 4 of the Government’s response to the fourth recommendation contained in the second report of the Public Service Committee on ministerial accountability and responsibility, HC 67, Session 1996-97, if he will make it Government policy to answer parliamentary questions relating to events taking place more than 30 years ago.
The Prime Minister: To the extent that such questions are admissible under the rules of the House–“Erskine May”, 21st edition, page 294–Ministers will seek to answer them, as any other question, in accordance with “Questions of Procedures for Ministers”.
Engagements
Sir Peter Tapsell: To ask the Prime Minister if he will list his official engagements for Thursday 14 November.
Mr. Harry Greenway: To ask the Prime Minister if he will list his official engagements for Thursday 14 November.
The Prime Minister: This morning I presided at a meeting of the Cabinet and had meetings with ministerial colleagues and others. In addition to my duties in this House, I shall be having further meetings later today.
