Mr Major’s Written Parliamentary Answer on Rate Rebates – 7 July 1986
Below is the text of Mr Major’s written Parliamentary Answer on Rate Rebates on 7th July 1986.
Mr. John Fraser Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how he accounts for the change in the number of persons receiving rate rebates in Lambeth from 63,000 as given in his answer of 14 June 1985, Official Report, column 586, to 36,378 as given in his answer of 25 June 1986, Official Report, column 213.
Mr. Major I refer the hon. Member to the responsible authority for information about changes in the number of people receiving rate rebates in Lambeth. However I understand that Lambeth’s recent case load estimates do not reflect the number of outstanding claims likely to be successful.
