Mr. Dykes To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has assessed the expert and lay public reaction to his European monetary proposals announced on 21 June.

Mr. Major I am studying reactions to my proposals and look forward to discussing these proposals further with my European Community colleagues in the coming weeks.
