Mr Major’s Comments on Former Yugoslavia – 7 August 1992

Below is the text of Mr Major’s doorstep comments made on the former Yugoslavia on 7th August 1992.

PRIME MINISTER:

We have been looking at a whole series of options over the last few days. They clearly need very careful consideration. They need a good deal of consultation with our allies.

I think there’s nothing more I can say about that at the moment, but clearly everyone who saw that will be disturbed. It’s a very disturbing report.
