QUESTION:
[Mr Major was asked about lottery announcements for Manchester].
PRIME MINISTER:
There will be something over three million pounds to help re-build the theatre that will be announced today and there will be some more money from the Government for the Lord Mayor’s Hardship Fund. But I’m principally here not to make those announcements but to have a look at what has happened in Manchester and what needs to be done to rebuild it.

PRIME MINISTER:
He’s a very good footballer.
