Mr. Kirkwood Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he has any plans to change the eligibility rules for the payment of exceptionally severe weather payments; and if he will make a statement.
Mr. Major Proposals for a new system of severe weather payments have been referred to the Social Security Advisory Committee. Final decisions on new regulations will be taken in the light of its report.
