Dr. Godman Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has any plans to change the criteria by which industrial deafness is determined; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Major The Industrial Injuries Advisory Council is keeping the occupational deafness scheme under continuous review and a report is expected later this year. We will give careful consideration to its recommendations.
