Below is the text of Mr Major’s written Parliamentary Answer on Supplementary Benefit on 6th April 1987.

Mr. Clay Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report a table which provides the same information on supplementary benefit single payments for the same time period for each year since 1979 as that provided in his reply of 17 March to the hon. Member for Stockton, North (Mr. Cook) Official Report, columns 479-80.

Mr. Major I shall let the hon. Member have a reply as soon as possible.
