Mr Major’s Comments Following the Death of Gordon Wilson – 27 June 1995
Below is the text of Mr Major’s comments, made on the 27th June 1995, following the death of Gordon Wilson, a peace campaigner in Northern Ireland, who had lost his daughter in the Enniskillen bomb.
PRIME MINISTER:
He was a man of immense courage, I think he made a remarkable, in many ways a unique, contribution towards reconciliation in Northern Ireland and I’m extremely sad at the news.
