Mrs. Beckett Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) whether it remains the Government’s intention to abolish maternity and death grants in April 1987;
(2) whether he has sought independent legal advice regarding the legality of the Social Fund Maternity and Funeral Expenses (General) Regulations 1986.
