Mr. David Shaw To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many new jobs have been created by growth in the economy since 1983.

Mr. Forth To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many new jobs have been created by growth in the economy since 1983.

Mr. French To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many new jobs have been created by growth in the economy since 1983.

Mr. Major The combination of steady, sustained growth and supply side improvements has contributed significantly to the creation of nearly 1.5 million new jobs since 1983.
