Mr. Roger King To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the increase in real personal disposable income in the year to the first quarter of 1988.

Mr. Major Real personal disposable income was 5.5 per cent. higher in the first quarter of 1988 than in the first quarter of 1987.
