Mr. Wall To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will forecast the balance of payments in each year until 1992.

Mr. Major The Financial Statement and Budget Report for 1989–90 provides a forecast for the current account of the balance of payments for 1989 and the first half of 1990. Forecasts for later years are not published.
