Engagements

Mr. Harry Greenway: To ask the Prime Minister if he will list his official engagements for Tuesday 17 January.

The Prime Minister: This morning I had meetings with ministerial colleagues and others. In addition to my duties in the House, I shall be having further meetings later today.

 

Public Appointments

Mr. Milburn: To ask the Prime Minister how many of the individuals appointed by his Department to public positions in the last year were first identified by the Public Appointments Unit.

The Prime Minister: Recommendations for appointments are made from a number of sources. It is not practicable for my Office to detail those first identified by the Public Appointments Unit.

 

Strathclyde Floods

Mr. McMaster: To ask the Prime Minister when he intends to visit the victims of the Strathclyde floods.

The Prime Minister [holding answer Monday 16 January 1995]: My hon. Friend the Minister for Industry and Local Government for Scotland visited the victims of the flooding, on my behalf, on 12 December 1994 and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland made a private visit on 27 December 1994.
