Mr Major’s Written Parliamentary Answer on Prosthetists (Training) – 12 January 1987

Below is the text of Mr Major’s written Parliamentary Answer on Prosthetists (Training) on 12th January 1987.

Mr. Ashley Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what progress is being made with discussions concerning the future training of prosthetists.

Mr. Major At a meeting of parties interested in the future of prosthetic and orthotic education and training arranged by the Department on 1 October it was agreed to set up a small working party to visit some of the education and training establishments which are running or have expressed an interest in running courses for prosthetists to discuss their proposals. These visits should be completed by the middle of January after which we expect the interested parties to meet again to consider the working party’s findings.
